Abstract
An experiment was conducted to determine the relative effects of five seed treatments. Treated seeds were thereafter stored in five containers made of different materials. The seeds were kept in these materials for about six month; from which samples were drawn periodically and tested for viability and vigour. Results showed that seeds treated with inorganic chemicals and stored in thick polythene bags had their viability and vigour maintained over a couple of months. Seeds treated with palm oil and stored in earthen pots however performed poorly.
