Abstract
In furtherance of the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria of meeting people at three points of critical needs – education, health and
spiritual, Babcock University was established to be a faith-based institution of higher learning. The University fosters its educational and spiritual objectives through its campus radio station - Hope 89.1FM. Situated in an environment largely dominated by youths and a community deeply involved in ancient traditional practices, this study explores the extent to which radio programming has influenced the lives of listeners. Premised on the attitude change theory, the study examines four faith and health-oriented radio programmes using the mixed method and the purposive sampling techniques. The programmes selected were in Yoruba and English to eliminate linguistic barriers. Findings revealed a significant impact of these programmes on listeners. Recommendation was made for more audienceinvolving programs to achieve deep-rooted conversion in faith and adoption healthy lifestyles.
